Only one week left until school begins and Vivian has to go to daycare. I am sad about being separated from her, but also happy to be going back to work. I think I am fortunate to love my job and to be happy in my current position. It's not that bad compared to what others have told me.
She is growing and learning more everyday, and we fall more in love with her every day as well. What a wonderful little girl I have... she is beautiful and sweet and cuddly... God has blessed us so much with this little miracle. I pray I can continue to be a good mother to her. :)
Prayers for my brother and the Overtones this week as they are in Romania on a mission trip.

Isn't Summer Supposed to be Relaxing?
Ever since Vivian was born, we have been going going going! Obviously, maternity leave is not at all easy or relaxing. Yes, I didn't have to go to 'work' for 6 weeks, but I was doing a whole new kind of work here at home. Vivian is wonderful and a joy, but it has been a totally new experience taking care of a newborn!
We've gotten into a good solid routine, though. And I was able to teach a summer school session for four weeks (only one week left!) as well as complete two journalism advisor workshops at Ball State. On top of that, I've signed up for an independent study in photojournalism... hopefully it will be done and turned in before school starts again in August.
My point is, I'm not unhappy that I've been busy, but it seems like there just isn't time to BREATHE. Nick and I need to take time to relax, time for ourselves. I've really struggled all my life with just saying "no." I think we both need to take a step back and reevaluate everything. Getting course credit and taking classes, doing summer school and everything else just isn't the most important thing. My family is.
Lord help me to be able to take more time for my family and for me.

Not the Babies Anymore
This week Cos and Pebs have enjoyed having us at home with them. It's been fun to actually have time to hang out with our dogs. We feel bad leaving them here while we're at work. Today they are extremely excited because our fence materials were delivered. Once we have our privacy fence up, they will be able to run amok outside whenever they want. Plus, when baby comes, they will have a place to get away if they need to. :) These two are great- we love them like our children. Hope they are ok with not being the only babies anymore come May!
